Vietnamese Roasted Crab..Tenderloin or Inner Richmond...but...

...the other limitations that keep tripping me up are that we're looking to have it for lunch, on a Tuesday.

We have 10 am tickets for the post-Impressionists show at the DeYoung. After that we want to get lunch, then head back to our hotel (the Monaco, at Geary and Taylor) and catch the airport shuttle for a late-afternoon flight. Time is a little tight, so we're hoping to find something either in the vicinity of the museum, or the hotel. We're traveling via transit or taxi.

I've found a few good suggestions on this board, but there's always a glitch. PPQ Dungeness Island is closed Tuesdays. La Vie Vietnamese doesn't have roasted crab on the lunch menu--only dinner. Bodega Bistro's website is kaput, so I can't check their menu or hours--are they still open?

So...any other suggestions?

There are some great ideas here, but a lot of them have the same problems I kept finding--they're too far out of the way for the time we have available, they're closed on Tuesdays, they don't serve lunch, and/or they don't have roast crab on the lunch menu.

Calling to ask if we can arrange for a crab lunch is a good thought--I've made a note of a few places to try if necessary. But I think we have a winner with Kim Thanh Restaurant. It's a block from our hotel, they're open for Tuesday lunch, and the menu I found on menupages.com has several varieties of roast crab.

Still hoping for a backup option or two, if anybody has other suggestions!

Thanh Long and its sister Crustation are always two great bets for roasted crab over garlic noodles.
