Can't get a reservation anywhere....any suggestions in West Village/Village

Need a reasonable place to have dinner with a friend tonite. Everything I've tried is booked. Anyplace that is likely to have an opening for 2 tonite. Good food, atmosphere, not too pricey????

    1. Too late now but Open Table is a good resource at times like this.

      1. Risotteria on Bleecker is good. You may have to wait, but no reservations. Spotted Pig is another good one with no res policy.

Risottoria was horrid working its way to inedible the last time I was there (and they weren't inclined to do anything about it) -- so awfully so that I won't return -- despite them having many gluten-free items. La Pala (on Allen Street just below Houston) has much better pizza and italian food anyway -- so it's no loss for me.

That's a shame... I live around the corner so I end up there about once a week. It's always been delicious and I like their $15 bottle of wine.

          1. curlymom, where did you end up? How was it?
