Anything worth eating in Laurel?
Every once in awhile I find myself in Laurel, MD.
I have been looking for a good place to grab a meal there, but all I can seem to find are lower quality chain restaurants (Silver Diner, Olive Garden, Fridays, and the list goes on).
I was hopeful about Rams Head, but after eating there a few times I realize they are serving inconsistently reheated food.
Are there any good eats in or near Laurel?

Located in the Holiday Inn parking lot, its an easy miss. Tampico Grill is a hidden treasure and one of my fav hole-in-the-walls when I wanna stay in the 'burbs. Great tex-mex, delish drinks, friendly service and plenty of dishes (meat,meat-free) to choose from.

Right south of Main Street Laurel, there are a bunch of casual restauarants near the intersection of U.S. 1 and Rte 198. Look for Aunt Susan's Kitchen for Jamaican, Mango's Grill for Mexican, and Irene's (in the same parking lot as Mango's Grill) for, I think, El Salvadoran/Guatemalan. I particularly like the tacos and soup at Irene's.
Other ideas --
Go a little north up U.S. 1 to Bonaparte Bread in Savage Mill. That is the same building as Rams Head. They are a bakery, but I think they also sell sandwiches and savory baked goods.
Go east on Rte 198 from U.S. 1 and watch for a few places on the right side. The Dutch Country Farmers Market just past Home Depot has a basic restaurant and sells pretzels Thursday to Saturday. Mega Chicken sells Peruvian chicken.
Or go a little south down U.S. 1 and try Pho 54. It is on the of the outbuildings in a shopping center on Contee Road..
