Need suggestions for a place to eat lunch near Energy Park Drive and Snelling in St. Paul

We won't have a lot of time, but want some good food. The only place I can think of is Mavericks....

Any suggestions?

Love Bonai-especially the Brandy Chicken. Finnish Bistro (in St. Anthony Park) always has lovely soups and bread. The flatbread pizza is not bad either. Desserts are yummy too.

      Maverick's Roast Beef

Best roast beef sandwiches in the twin cities BY A COUNTRY MILE.

      Casual. Easy. Relatively quick.

Black Sea (Turkish) on Snelling, near Minnehaha has great gyro type sandwiches. Cash only, but very good food.

Two other great places: Fasika Ethiopian Restaurant and Cafe BonXai, both at Snelling and University.

Even quicker and closer: Abu Nader and Mim's - both Middle Eastern, both right by the U of M St. Paul campus.

I was going to recommend Fasika, but I have found the service there to be "relaxed." Given the poster's statement that they wouldn't have a lot of time, I was hesitant to recommend...

I like Maverick's. It's not too far from Energy Park Drive and Snelling. Also close and good are:

Pho 79 for Vietnamese is on Energy Park Drive at Raymond...it's fast to get to on Energy Park Drive from Snelling - one light, 40 mph.

As others have pointed out, down Snelling a few blocks are a few Korean restaurants. North on Snelling to Larpenteur and you can get Dino's Gyros. They're not great, but not horrible.

Nelson Cheese Factory on Como at Snelling (blocks away from where you'll be) - their sandwiches are tasty and quick. However, there's nowhere to sit and eat them - take out only.

Sole cafe perhaps for Korean? I haven't been there (YET) but its been getting raves around here lately.

If Sole is open, that's a great, great choice. Their hours seem to be erratic. Business card says evenings only, but they seem to be open during lunch. If they are closed, Hoa Bien is right down the road.
