Cheap eats, near Metreon.

Looking for cheap eats w/beer, wine for after matinee at Metreon on Saturday. Love all kinds of Asian food esp. Thai, Vietnamese, mid-eastern, Mexican, you name it, I'll probably eat it. $ range: mains up to $15 but would prefer a little cheaper as my even cheaper sister is buying. All suggestions welcome, I will be driving, but would like to do as little of that as possible. thanks!

  1. I actually really enjoy the Thai restaurant in the Westfield Mall - called Coriander Thai cuisine. Osha Thai is also right down the street. Those are two great Thai options within walking distance of the Metreon.

    1. Katan-ya is really tasty. Walkable to the Metreon.

      1. Henry's Hunan on Natoma is delicious and inexpensive. I don't know about the wine selection, but they have Sierra Nevada and a few other beers on draft.

        1. $15 mains doesn't make my list for cheap. Out the door for $15 for dinner is cheap.

B would be closed after most matinees. Thus, I suggest Fang. Decent acohol list, open all afternoon, nice room, most entrees between $12 and $14. Thirsty Bear has small plates and a nice alcohol selection; I wouldn't call it cheap but it does literally fit your specs.

Chaat Cafe has a lot going for it, but not so much with the alcohol.

          1. Tropisueno for good Mexican and strong margaritas would be one of my first choices.
