unpasteurized cider

Is it correct that unpasteurized cider can only be sold at the locations that press it? I hope not...

Unpasteurized cider can be sold away from the orchard, but it is not a common thing. The Red Apple Farm folks sold it at the Lexington Farmers Market this year. Last year I remember getting some at Verrill Farm - it was wonderful stuff.

Phil's Apples, in Harvard, has wonderful unpasteurized cider but as far as I know it is only sold at the orchard (open through November I believe).

An orchard at the City Hall farmers market has unpasteurized cider. I forget the name -- but the stall is always on the end closest to School St.

I buy unpasteurized cider at Tendercrop Farm in Newbury:

A little off-topic, but have you tried Eden Ice Cider, from Vermont? This is hard cider made in the style of Ice Wine. Really good!

Charlton Farms was bringing it to my local Farmer's Market.

Our CSA had some of Cider Hill's unpasteruized cider late in the season...it was wonderful.

I love the cider hill cider but they close at Thanksgiving and we don't have freezer space. I'll check out the other farms suggested to see if any stay open after November. It's such great suff and I'd love to use it to cook lentils, etc. as well as other foods throughout winter. and I'll check out the Ice hard cider. thanks to everyone.

Pretty much so, unfortunately. We get ours at Honey Pot Hill.
