La Bella Cucina would be a good option.

La Bella Cucina..what's good there, I've wondered about that place, when I've been at the park over there...--London Lennie's or Woodhaven house seem the most comfortable place--unless you want to head over to Atlas Park, and go to California Pizza Kitchen...they actually are pretty good for some things and the atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxed and mellow in there so you could sit in a large booth and talk. Their salads are fine, and a few pastas are very good, and the pizza is ok for what it is--mostly it's "plain" safe and kid safe.

For an old-line Italian just up the road, on Woodhaven Blvd, there's Joe Abbracciamento's. Haven't been in years, but other CHs might chime in.

re: Mister Meatball
I hadn't been to Joe Abbracciamento's in 35 years, but went last December. IMHO it's gone seriously downhill. The food at Leone's Pizza on Cooper Ave (across from the cemetery) is much better, at about 1/3 the price. Leone's is fairly small and very casual, though---not sure it would suit your needs.
Instead, I'd go with "plain" fare at Shalimar Diner, about a mile or so from the cemetery, on 63rd Drive.-----
