Spicy chips?

Where can I get some good hot/spicy potato chips in Montreal? I've had the pleasure of trying a few kinds in the US but is there anything to be had in these parts? Is Ms Vickee's Jalapeno (which I do really like) as good as it gets? The hotter the better please! Thanks.

  1. Sometimes---just sometimes---you can find the Blair's Death Rain chips at the Atwater Market. My husband swears by them but me, a lover of all things spicy, cannot eat more than a couple.

I've never had any problem finding them at Atwater Market, at the bulk shop on the second floor in front of Premiere Moisson.

Their Habanero chips are crazy spicy

    2. When Bofinger's was in DDO, they used to sell a variety of spicky chips - I can't remember the brand offhand. But I did buy their hottest variety a few times and they were very hot, if that's what your looking for.

Although the DDO location is a thing of the past, I would assume the other Bofinger locations sell them.

I second Blair Death Rain chips. Not easy to find in Montreal but I've seen them at bulk food places and a few Loblaws once in a while... if anyone has seen or sees them neat Jean-Talon market please let me know!

A few months ago, they were selling them at Boucherie Capitol at JTM. I haven't been in a while so I could not tell if they still have them in stock.

found some death rain chips at 4 freres on St-Laurent (between des pins and prince arthur) big bags with the regular chips and the small bags near the cash...

My sister got me a bag of the Habanero ones from 4 freres on st-laurent.

If you're looking for spicy, they're not that bad. I've been popping them in my mouth all evening, no problem.
As for taste, they're just like bbq, but with some real heat.

Not something I'd spend any money on again.

      2. I've seen the Death Rain chips at the bagel shop on St.Catherine in Westmount and at the Bulk Barn in the West Island.
