Very good lamb burger at Athina Grill - Lower Queen Anne

Just popped in for a quick bite last night and had the lamb burger special ($6 w/ fries).

Nothing to say about the fries, but the lamb burger was delicious. One of the best I have ever had. Most times when I have ordered this in the past it's a better idea than what is executed. They usually come out hard as a rock from overcooking. Not this one. It was cooked perfectly. Medium rare and fell apart in your mouth with a very nice "lambi-ness" flavor.

Solid.

Not a destination place, but if you're craving a lamb burger and are in the area I would recommend it.

The wife ordered the mousaka, which was fine, but the side dish of peas and the rice topped with some veggies were way too salty.

The staff was very nice as well.

Only time i went there, they microwaved the pita filling before serving it to me, so screw them.

Although I've mostly written Athina off as yet another bad ethnic restaurant in Lower Queen Anne (the falafel is easily the worst I've had in Seattle), you are definitely right about the burger. If they give the option of avgolemono instead of fries with the burger, that's the way to go.
