Queen & Beaver? Big Fat Burrito? Kenzo Ramen?

Try Matagali on Elm (west of Bay) for good curries - I'm a fan of their goan shrimp and chicken vindaloo lunch deals.

Also, Kabob Grill at the corner of Bay/Gerrard is great if you skip the shawarma and go for the pizza - get the beef sausage pizza, it's fantastic. By the way, how far are you willing to walk?

I also endorse Matagali. Choice of Indian or Thai. Both are pretty good, but service is REALLY slow, as items are cooked from scratch.

Try Sushi Queen Izakaya at 665 Bay Street (Bay & Elm). I've been there for dinner and they have some pretty solid sushi at affordable prices.

Their sashimi King Street is really good and I like their tempura batter as well.
