Vegetarian near Prince St??

We are meeting a vegetarian friend (no fish) for dinner in the Prince St area and are looking for restaurant suggestions. Doesn't have to be exclusively vegetarian, as everyone else eats meat. Our friend lives in Rome, so no Italian please. Thanks!

There are veggie places on the SW corners of Prince/Lafayette and Spring/Lafayette -but both are hyper-utilitarian, and neither makes the kind of fine presentation that New York must to Rome.
You might think of Savoy, on Prince and Crosby -ask for upstairs: a nice menu in a nice space; I've never had a bad meal there.

EDIT: of course, Chinatown is in that same sphere: you won't find better veggie stuff anywhere if you choose wisely.
