I know there are some high end restaurants that serve uber-burgers. I'm looking for a Gastropub?
Village Whiskey. I wouldn't call it a gastropub, but $9 for this bad boy is in line with pub prices. They do have a fancier version with foie gras, but the regular one is pretty basic and the best I've ever had in and out of Philly.
It's actually $11 now (as of my last visit about 3 weeks ago). Still very fairly priced, and in the same league as gourmet/'serious' burgers I've had in other cities priced in the higher teens.
Can't beat Good Dogs burger! Love the fries too!
the stuffed burger at Good Dog made me a burger eater. my recent fave was Adsum. I thought the LaFreida burger was pretty damn good, but for $18, I'm not sure I'll be buying a lot of them.
actually, burger club made me a burger eater: http://frieswiththatshake.net/?page_i...
I haven't tried it yet, but my friend raved about the new LaFreida burger at Pub & Kitchen.
That one is good, but not as good as Village Whiskey's. I think the VW burger (not the one with foie, the regular one) is the best in the city.
The best value burger in town on Monday's is at Misconduct (1511 Locust Street)Their burgers (w/ fries) are $5 all day long and are delicious. Great but pricy beer selection too.
