Funny is good! But, truthfully, I would even take that if it were available..... :-)

I think Stop& Shop actually sells Carvel products if interested.

Unless it closed in the past year or so, there is a Carvel in Cranston on Park Ave.

Not in Providence, but you can try Ice Cream Machine in Cumberland, RI on Diamond Hill Rd. The ice creme is really good. I haven't tried their ice creme cakes yet.

I think Shaws and/or Shop & Stop sell Carvel. Munroe Dairy delivers a wide variety of fancy ones. Nick's in North Providence (Mineral Spring and Douglas) will make them to order and has pre-made ones to go.

Ben & Jerry's on Meeting (just off Thayer). You can pick one up ready made or order a custom cake online: http://www.benjerry.com/providence/ca...

I haven't lived in Providence since the eighties, so I dunno if they are still extant, but there used to be an ice cream place there called Big Alice's that was wonderful.
