Your favorite local source for lamb?
I've got a hankering for buying a few lamb roasts, and the selection at my usual grocery stores isn't very inspiring. My normal fallback is the Wedge and I will continue to use them, but I wanted to hear about other local sources. I'm willing to drive a bit and ordering flash frozen online is fine too.
Any recommendations?

According to their site, they are sold out of lamb...not sure if that means for the season, or just online orders. I haven't checked out their market stand either.
Any opinions on local butcher shops? Seems to me that most of them stick to beef, pork, and poultry. To re-iterate, I love the Wedge, but that is a 20+ mile drive from the NE 'burbs, so fighting through it to pick up some meat for dinner isn't really tops on my list. What about Mississippi Market or Seward? Neither of those are much closer, but I would be willing to look.
The main object of my search is frenched rack, FWIW. I can get it at Kowalski's, but the amount of meat is pretty scant and they want $35/pound (!!!!!!!) for it.

Big E, I've always been very happy with the lamb I purchase at Holy Land (and the price is much more in keeping with my budget - the $35/lb makes me wince, too!). The butchers will cut the meat to your needs - although I've never seen or requested a frenched rack there, it might be worth a call. Slightly closer a drive for you, too. http://www.holylandbrand.com/lamb.html

Good call...I'm kind of ashamed I forgot about them.
I'm not dead set on the rack being frenched, FWIW. I can take care of that myself, as long as the rack has a good amount of meat on it.
