Sunday Brunch suggestions - White Plains/Tarrytown area

Out of town Chowhound will be in the White Plains/Tarrytown area for Christamas and would appreciate recommendations for a nice Sunday brunch (buffet or otherwise) for December 26. Price not an issue. FYI, I heard nice things about Doral Arrowwood but they will be closed during this time. Thanks in advance for your help.

  1. rye towne hilton is another hotel that does a vast and high-end mediocre foods glutton-fest! Also you may try the Renaissance in White Plains. they both are "nice" and "solid" corporate types. For a la carte brunches there are a ton of decent ones: The Cookery is my first choice, follwed by Aberdeen for dim sum, Nessa was ok.

    1. Rye Grill has a terrific brunch menu

That reminds me! Ruby's (same owners) also has a super brunch menu. better food imo than RBG and usually less rug-rats who can make a Sunday morning headache oh so much worse...

Agreed, cubanat!!! I really enjoy the brunch at Ruby's. Do they still offer the 1/2 price bottles of wine?

yes that's another big draw and lends to the festive environs. I'm there just for that ham sandwich!

      2. Any thoughts on Sam's of Gedney Way vs. Half Moon for a group of 9? Group includes my kids, ages 6 and 4.

I like Rye Grill, but don't want to go to Rye because my sister is coming from Tribeca so I didn't want to go so far east as Rye.
