hubby started a new job on wall street and water. any financial district hounders? What are some of the recommendations for lunch. Salads, deli, thai, sushi. anything else that's a stand out. If there's another discussion please point me in that direction. Thank you!

I may miss the $$ level you are looking for, but here goes: Right there (@Wall & Water), is the eponimously named restaurant, which has gotten pretty good reviews. Two blocks away, Stone Street (the street, not the restaurant) features about 10 restaurants almost all with outdoor tables. Swedish (Smorgas Chef), Mexican (Mad Dogs and Beans), Pizza (Adrienne's) Irish (Ulysses), Steak (Harry's) small plates (Vintry). Harry's Italian is a little farther north. Also on Hanover Sq is Fresco on the Go, a good take out. Ise (sushi) @ Pine & Pearl, Baoguette (Vietnamese) @Maiden and B'way, Burger Shoppe @ Water & Broad are all very close. And at the high end, SHO (French) @ Wall & Exchange. All the menus are on menupages, so he can just check out the offerings and prices.

I personally like Terrace Fish and Chips and Burger Burger. Zigolini's also isn't that bad of a lunch spot.

When I am feeling ambitious I sometimes order from Delmonico's because their lunch is kinda reasonable if you are willing to splurge some.

Adel's Halal cart at 180 Maiden was go-to when I worked in that building. Veronica's Kitchen is great for soul/Caribbean food. Check out http://midtownlunch.com/downtown-nyc/ - those guys cover FiDi lunch options pretty extensively.
