Burlington: Need Thursday Lunch Spot!

I'm going to be in Burlington, VT on Thursday at lunchtime. I've never been before. What are your recommendations for lunch?

Ideally, I'd like an upscale bistro-type place, American, French, or Italian. Glass of wine with lunch, relaxing, good service. Don't care about price.

Absolutely no: Delis, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Pizza places, diners, chains, BYOB, etc.

(My fallback option is Pho Hong, which I know contradicts what I just asked for, but I have a thing for Vietnamese. But I'd prefer someplace like what I described above.)

Thank you!

Leunig's Bistro on Church St. gets mixed reviews from foodies. I really enjoy it. Never had a bad meal there and it's a great spot for people watching. American Flatbread is very popular as is A Single Pebble. Enjoy your time in Burlington!

I do have mixed feelings on Leunig's for the food, but it does sound like what the OP is looking for. I've not had a bad meal there, just that they were unremarkable.

My vote is for Leunigs. Like the others who've posted, I've never had a bad meal there, and I've had A LOT of them! Very good food, apmosphere, service and people watching on the Church St. Marketplace. IMHO, you can't beat it!

VT Pub & Brewery on College St is a good choice, my favorite place in town is the Stone Soup, no wine here though! Oh, on Bank St the old Macdonalds has become a great place, this is the place for you based upon your post, cant remember the name of the place though, its right across the street from Henrys diner...
