I'm going out for breakfast today after voting and am wracking my brain for any decent weekday breakfast places in Ann Arbor. Your thoughts?

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Angelo's for breakfast! It's close to the medical center and has surprisingly decent parking (behind the building and across the street). Get the raisin toast.

Let me see if I can compare the "Marie" chain to Zingerman's with an analogy....

I know of the one in Perrysburg, at least. I had no idea they were connected with the one in Ann Arbor.

Where I went was Bell's Diner and it was really bad! I was looking forward to ordering Korean food and the Bi Bim Bop was terrible. Hubby ordered eggs over easy and they got it wrong 2 times...brought scrambled twice. Yikes!

Been to Zingmerman's Roadshouse twice for breakfast - it wouldn't be my go to choice. The huevos racheros were really bland. The things that the Roadhouse does well are cocktails and barbecue...unfortunately I wasn't in the market for a cocktail yesterday morning. (upon review of today's election results this morning, I sure could have used a bloody mary!)

Well I am glad someone is happy about it, Boag! I have been to Angelo's exactly once and the parking was terrible and the wait long and the food didn't warrant it. Should I try it again? The raisin toast is just okay.

I've been to ZR five times. Twice for breakfast, one lunch, two dinners. Nothing special
was ever served/experienced.

The omlettes at Cafe Marie had much better flavors than what ZR served me.

Yes, Afternoon Delight is terrific for breakfast! Try the breakfast sandwiches (one meat, one veggie, both good).
