Hello,
I am looking for venues for my high school prom and I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good venues that they had came across? The place would have to be large enough for around 350 guests with a dance floor and serves fairly good food with a nice ambiance. The area has to be outside of the entertainment district and in the GTA. It would be greatly appreciated if you would include your own personal opinion on the place

Thank you very much

What about the Liberty Grand? Outside of the Entertainment District, experienced with all large venues, and good security detail. Lots of parking.

Other considerations would be the traditional banquet halls in industrial areas but even though the halls are quite nice, it still feels like you are so far removed from everything.

Maybe the Fermenting Cellar in the distillery district? You have to bring everything in but it is a great space and you'd have total control over the food. Do people do this sort of thing for a prom? I was too much of a nerd for mine so I have no idea!!! :-)

How about the Arcadian Room which is on the 8th floor of the Bay at Yonge and Queen? Have also been to a prom there. Special occasion spot for sure. There is also the Palais Royale which is on the Lakeshore.

If you pick a Thursday night, that might be better than trying for a Friday for any of these venues. Not sure how your school would think about it. Other than these suggestions, you might want to think about banquet halls.

How about the Great Hall at 1087 Queen West?

I went to a prom like event there once. It's a very nice space.

My prom was at the King Edward Hotel...it's been a while but I remember everyone enjoying the venue!
