Toronto Dinner for group fun with good food

In Toronto for one night with a group of 8. Used to live there 15 years ago. Now unfamiliar with good fun places to eat. Staying downtown. Open to all kinds of good food from bistro to ethnic but atmosphere just as important. thanks!

  1. You didn't mention budget considerations, but if you like seafood, especially oysters, Starfish is an option. Good food, fun atmosphere and located within walking distance of other places for drinks if you wish. There are non-seafood items on the menu as well.

    1. So places for consideration:

Buca. Solid Italian at King and Portland. Very cool space, great food and good service. A little loud for some but I've never had a problem.

I like Ame but it has had mixed reviews on the board. Again a very cool space, a good take on contemporary Japanese food, good service and amazing cocktails.

Torito - Spanish style tapas in Kensington Market. Great food, fun atmosphere, good service and in an interesting hood. Probably the most casual of these recommendations.

276 Augusta Ave, Toronto, ON M5T2L9, CA

604 King St. West, Toronto, ON M5V 1M6, CA

      1. There is a privateish table at Origin that would work if it is free. Great vibe and amazing food.

Other suggestions are good IMO as well.
