Small Private Room for 21st Birthday Recommendations?

I am looking for a restaurant for my sister who is quite a foodie for her 21st birthday. She has been talking about renting a private room for approx. 10 people for the dinner. Does anyone know of any great restaurants that could accommodate? Having it be a little trendy couldn't hurt either. Open to all cuisines and preferably downtown as they'll be going somewhere else for drinks afterwards.

I'm not a big fan of Terroni but their location downtown (on Adelaide I believe) has a great private room. The light installation over the table and Herman Miller chairs is worth it, you just have to struggle through a sub-par Southern Italian meal.

I believe there is a min of something like $2,500 for the room. It may have been holiday season when we looked into it last so I'd suggested if you're interested call and chat.

Pigs would have to fly and hell would have to freeze over for me to give Terroni's that much money for anything!

Really? I was there for a group function last summer (I think it was June) and our bill didn't exceed $700. Maybe they do that during the Holidays. And I agree, the $2500 is outrageous!

No private room, but I think Sidecar is a great go-to for early-20s birthdays (having celebrated there myself). If you go on a night when their prix fixe is offered, you get 3 courses for $25. It's a good value for a great meal, everyone knows how much they should expect to spend (though of course they can order a la carte to shave off a few $$) and you get plenty of food into bellies before a night of partying - they'll thank you later. The restaurant can easily accommodate 10 people if you take over the front half of the room. From there, you can walk to any number of great places for drinks.
You can check out the menu and photos, etc. here: http://www.sidecarrestaurant.ca/ but do call them if you want to see about reservations as the Open Table form doesn't accommodate groups.

You could try Earth on Yonge Street. Their private room would suit you. Delux on Ossington has a small private room but for some reason I think it only sits 8.
