Sold off by the Supervalu, the parent company of Albertsons. According to the LA Times, "They need cash and they're having to sell their best assets to keep the overall company afloat."

I'm hoping that the new owners won't change the deals that are now offered in their restaurant section of the market. The $6.95 pasta special that is featured at Bristol Farms on Wednesday Nights is a real value. That's at the So Pasadena location and I'm assuming it's offered chain-wide.

Hey, does anyone remember an old guy named Meyer who worked at the fish counter of the S. Pasadena Bristol farms? My memory goes back perhaps 14 years. He had a secret recipe for whitefish salad which I remember being really good. The last time I visited that location was several years ago, and Meyer was no longer there, and nobody seemed to know who he was. Any info on Meyer (or the whitefish salad) would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks
      Mr Taster

Nice, perhaps, it'll regain it's former glory.

It was bought by its current management team - should enable them to make it even better.

          That's what I'm hoping.
