I am craving guacamole. Nice, thick, tangy, chunky guacamole. Where is the best place in SF to find it?
We are hooked on the guacamole at Papito. Nice, thick and chunky, garnished with cotija cheese and a bit of pico de gallo.

I liked the guac at The New Spot on 20th Street (Dogpatch). Really fresh and bright flavor, and the added bonus (to me) of bits of lime rind in the guac..... made a nice burst of citrus flavor.

I think nice ripe organic avacados are key, therefore I like to make my own, it's fun and easy to make.
I'm with you. The best comes from home, when you bring home the perfect avocado. Avocados are too fickle for a restaurant to lay claim to 'best'. When good guacamole happens... amen! But it can't be manufactured on demand by anyone.

Try Chilango. Very chunky, served with handmade fried tortilla strips and salsas. As with everything else at Chilango, freshly made with good ingredients.
