i will be in the area and wanted to know if there was anything around there that i could pick up really fast and take to go. it will be around lunch time. i already know of tito's and johnnies (i know, thats more 405 and washington).....any suggestions? it doesn't really have to be per say "fast food", but something that would still taste good by the time i took it home.

I think Hamburger Habit is near there. It is kind of a 50s style fast food burger place.

Burgers, chicken sandwiches are good, and the onion rings are not bad, but don't know how well they would travel. Also, I haven't been to this location, so if the quality varies between locations, I couldn't tell you that. Sorry!

Sasha, the Hamburger Habit on National by the 405 is NOT related to the hamburger chain out of the Santa Barbara area called "The Habit." The Hamburger Habit on National is a single location operation and in my opinion, it is not very good.

Drive one more exit and get some Zankou Chicken @ 405/SM Blvd. Lunch crowd may be busy...but I've always gotten parking ok.

Perhaps you can get some Gueuleguetza to go...their chicken tamale with Mole is good.

If you want someplace where you can walk in, pick something out, and walk out again, your best bet might actually be the Whole Foods on National & Barrington, lots of good take out dishes.

If you can wait a bit, or perhaps call in your order from the car on the way, some good options not too far from the National exit might include Hu's Szechwan on National, the Bosnian restaurant Aroma on Overland, or Gueleguetza on Palms.

The Bagel Factory has a store in the shopping center at Sepulveda and National. While I like the bagels at their store on Robertson and Cadilac better, the Bagels are still decent Jewish Bagels. Plus they have Kosher Soups which are very good.
