How long will open diced tomatoes last in the fridge?

I recently opened a box of diced tomatoes (like the canned version, only in a BPA-free box). I used about half and the rest is in my fridge. How long do you think I can keep it there before using it?

  1. Probably a week or perhaps longer. You'll be able to tell when they gone by the mold growing on the surface of the tomatoes, but they'll be a bit "sour" tasting before that, not pleasant, yuck. A good idea is to use them within a week. You can freeze them if you think you won't use them up for awhile.
