Hi,

I'm looking for some help!

Last year, on a road trip from Utah to Canada via Chicago and Port Huron, I stopped in this little handmade chocolate store and God! it was good... I know they are doing delivery around the country and I'm looking to get some of their chocolate to a close friend of mine who was on the same roadtrip as a birthday present. My only problem right now; I can't remember the name of the place or exactly where it was...

Here's what I remember...

- I'm pretty sure it was in Iowa somewhere along the I80 in a small country side town (I remember one of those blue signs on the interstate indicating handcrafted chocolate factory or something similar...)

- It ws in a private house and the store/factory was in the basement

- The lady there was really nice and showed us how they made chocolate and candy with old school equipement... She said they were one of the last chocolate making place to use that type of gear.

- That store/factory has been around for a long time... (multiple generations)

If this sounds famailiar to any of you, PLEASE let me know... I know it would make an awesome surprise!

Thanks

Nic

  1. I believe you are thinking of Drew's Chocolates in Dexter, Iowa

My parents live there. And those chocolates ARE pretty tasty. :)
