Sashimi from Mitsuwah market in Edgewater

I saw some nice selection of fresh cut up and pre packaged sashimi in the back of the store.
Anyone tried? Are they fresher and better quality than typical deli sashimi?
I cannot say the Sashimi is of better quality, or more fresh than say H-Mart....as how fresh can frozen fish be....but I would say the products are handled properly and the techniques used to prepare the items and package them, always appear superior. The Sushi Chef is truly a trained and experienced person and not just someone who was just shown how to slice fish.....like some of the preparers at a buffet where sushi and sashimi are offered. The number of choices for sashimi at Mitsuwa is also the best of any market offering.....pre-sliced or in block form
With any Asian markets in the Bergen County area who offer similar selections.....it's safe to assume any sashimi or sushi is not saved and sold the next day.
Personally, I would not purchase any sushi or sashimi from a Non-Asian food market....if that's the typical deli sashimi you refer to.
I'm not sure what you mean by "deli sashimi" but in general the quality of fish at mitsuwa is top notch. Their selection is also fantastic - I don't know of any other place where you can get things like bluefin oh/chu-toro, amber jack, hamachi, and so on. Their uni is also delicious. Actually I've never gone wrong with any fish at mitsuwa.
They are very fresh. Someone used to walk all the way there from Palisades Park, pick up sashimi, maki and tea, continue the walk to the movie theatre and enjoy a movie in a virtually empty theatre during lunch time.......
