American chocolate?

Hello,

My husband works for a Swiss company and often brings home Swiss chocolate which is delicious. A man from Switzerland is working with him this week and wants to bring back some "American" chocolate for his Swiss coworkers. I was thinking Munsons... it's not my first choice, but I think Godiva is Belgian. Of course there are chocolate boutiques (like Bridgewater) which are great but I couldn't think of anything else. Oh -- my husband thought of Whitmans.

Any suggestions?

If you're talking about generic bars, by all means send some Scharffenberger (especially the milk chocolate nibby). For handmade chocolate confections, I recommend Burdick's (Walpole, NH) and Black Dinah (Isle au Haut, ME).
