My husband and I are coming to Scottsdale for our 5 yr anniversary. One night we were hoping to go to a high-end restaurant, other two nights mid-priced to high. Also looking for bar recommendations for cocktails after. Any recommendations?

Thanks for your help!

Kate

If you are staying in Old Town Scottsdale, refer to this recent thread:

Otherwise, the choices are more scattered. It's best to let us know where you'll be staying. In many cases, choices in Phoenix or Tempe are closer than choices in Scottsdale, so, a more specific location helps.

Staying at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mt. Thanks johnseberg for the link to the other post!

That's a nice location. Here is another link that covers the area just North of Old Town Scottsdale:

The Camelback area of Phoenix is also accessible from that location. A couple of good choices in that area are Chelsea's Kitchen and Noca.

Elements at Sanctuary has been mentioned here, in the past. I don't know if there is any current advice. I think there has been some turnover in the kitchen.

If you want a quirky little place that is good and medium priced try out crudo

there is a better review than mine, but i have one somewhere on here - if you go there make sure you get the chocolate chip loaf dessert thingy if they have it...man is that good

BLT at the Camelback Inn is right across the street and wnderful patio dining, classic cocktails and great beef prep. this is one of the better dining experiences in Phoenix.

The old Mountain Shadows is across the street from Camelback Inn. Sanctuary is less than a mile away, down on McDonald east of 56th Street.

Mountain Shadows was east of Sanctuary on the same side of the street. But you are correct that Camelback Inn is closer to Tatum on Lincoln, just west of Sanctuary. I think El Chorro is is right across as well, but I don't recommend eating there.
