Seeking Good Restaurant near City Hall

Hi all, I'm looking for a good restaurant near city hall for a dinner of about 22 people - we'd love something with atmosphere, preferably Italian or California cuisine...that's in the Mint54 price range (about $50/person before drinks) Any recommendations? Walking distance from City Hall would be ideal...

Absinthe was my thought, as well. They have a private dining room for up to 45 people.

Not to many options east of Van Ness. I would suggest Hayes Valley, particularly Absinthe.
