I had some once after having several beers. They weren't very good.

The spicy beef patty is pretty good.

Taquitos and the other crap like rollers all suck.

      "Dined"? "7-11"?

      Wha...??

Having owned a 7-11 franchise back in the '70's, I would caution against eating anything that wasn't supplied by a reputable vendor. Anything from the 7-11 corp. is questionable.

I don't think anyone is expecting 3 michelin stars at a 7-11. That said, there's one right in between my apartment and my local watering hole, and I'm no stranger to the sandwiches & burritos there. 99% of it is stuff that I'd really prefer not to eat when sober (and some of it is stuff I'd really prefer not to eat ever), but for what it is, it is fine.

I've never had the hot dogs or other things on the rollers. They just never look appetizing ever.

Isn't it possible that things have changed in the last 30-40 years?

The inappropriate posts were deleted but MG and I established that "questionable" means that the food has the usual crappy nutritional value of cheap processed food, which it is.

I've had their chicken-based taquitos (there's a buffalo chicken one and another generic SW-y one, I think?).

I feel I must explain somehow. LOL! I started at a very low period in my life when I was living in a house with a horrible middle-aged loser landlord and a middle-aged harpee housemate, both of whom were determined to make my mid-20s life miserable (I now call that place Satan's Asshole). So I stayed in my bedroom to avoid them a lot and just generally ate A LOT of prepared food that I could just buy and eat in my room without going downstairs into the kitchen (until I finally just moved the hell out after 5 months). Seeing as the 7-11 and Subway next-door were the closest non-delivery places and I could just drop by on my way home from work, I ate them quite a few times (never more than every two weeks, though).

Occasionally, if I'm gearing up for the long drive back to my parents' house for the holidays, I stop by the same 7-11 to get a bottle of water and 3 taquitos because I always think I need to eat something and hate stopping at rest stops unless I have to go to the bathroom.

Always, ever since the first time I tried them, they give me rumblings in my stomach and gas.

I am hoping the lesson sticks for next time! :o)

(I've also eaten their weird cheeseburger hot dog thing...same results as the taquitos!)

TMI but the results are to be expected.

I have had their beef taquitos and don't mind them. Tried the jalapeno cream cheese one, not my faves. I usually have one if I am running between work and home and groceries, or travelling and want something for in the car. I enjoy their hot dogs, but I liken that to ball park hot dogs and they are pretty much all the same here.

The one item I really enjoy is a pita sandwich with turkey and ham, really tasty, in fact convinced me to try making the same type of thing at home - not sure where they get their white tortillas from but they are delicious, the ones I buy are like cardboard after the first day.

I know 7-11 is not high quality, healthy food, but it ain't gonna kill you either!
