Wild Willy's Coming to Quincy
The location isn't great. I hope they do well.

I'm a big fan of Wild WIlly's burgers. I ate there quite often when I worked near the one in Watertown.
Anything would be better than Finian's. Even a cheesy country western themed restaurant with scantily clad servers. Finian's was absolutely horrible.
Does anyone know if the Fat Monk will also go away when Bad Abbots goes away?
I did enjoy the breakfast there; especially if you are looking for an Irish breakfast.

Interestingly enough, food businesses have always done fairly well on that stretch of road. Now with the new Fore River Bridge construction slated to start soon a burger joint might be just what the doctor ordered (or did he order a salad?). I also agree with RVT that no one cares about Remick's any more. I loved it when it was here, but a restaurant named Remick's? Doesn't mean much.
Enjoy,

I went to Wild Willy's once and left unimpressed. Not bad but nothing great like UBurger or Flat Patties. You would think UBurger would open up there because the founders own The Clambox.

Not sure how I missed that article, thanks for posting the link. Good news about Wild Willy's, but your right that's an odd location. More suprising, at least for me, are the other changes going on in the square. Sad tosee Bad Abbotts being replaced by a country themed placed, but intrigued that Finians is being replaced by a restaurant with the same managment team as the Ocean Club at Marina Bay.

re: Pegmeister
I had heard about the country/western place coming to Bad Abbotts, and I also heard rumblings about Finian's being replaced, but Wild Willy's--didn't know about that. Yup, a bit of an odd location, but lots of traffic on that road, so my guess is, they'll do ok there.
P.S. Based on the photos posted on their Facebook page, it doesn't look like Texas Saloon is aiming for a classy, elegant vibe....

REALLY dissapointed to see the end of Bad Abbots. Hopefully someone else will pick up the slack for a good soccer bar in the area. Even less thrilled to see it being replaced by a faux Western theme complete with scantily clad staff. Not what the area needs. Also don't quite get why anyone would think there's still a marketable niche for Remick's nostalgia. How many folks are left that really fondly remember shopping there? I'm 42 and grew up in Quincy and barely remember it.
