As far as I know, no bakery here makes Monkey Bread. Usually, Monkey bread is one of those made at home guilty pleasures. It is made by rolling balls of sweet frozen dough (like Pillsbury), dipping them in butter, rolling them in cinnamon/sugar, and then pressing them into a bundt pan. The cake is eaten by hand, pulling off the gooey gobs of dough. Now I'm craving.

Try www.marthastewart.com She has a few recipes for monkey bread you can make quite easily.

My friend (she's from Texas as am I) made a killing at local fairs this summer selling homemade monkey bread. Of course, you have to explain what it is to people....

The Pillsbury route is a cop-out though, like when my French teacher made Petit Soeurs from it. Yeast-based treats are tricky, but there's no reason not to try.
