re: taiga
The Pilot House is pretty good. It's a little bit off the beaten path and I discovered it after a snorkeling excursion that docks next to the restaurant. They had good happy hour specials on a Saturday with reduced price oysters and such. I had a grouper sandwich that was delicious. My boyfriend also enjoyed his meal. I would definitely go back. The food was solid and nice location on a dock.

re: DiFlorida
I used to hang out in a Jimmy Buffett newsgroup and some guy there had a great guide, it was basically Miami to KW mile by mile, every cool little dive etc. I'll see if I can dig that up.
For some great scenery and instant laid-back Florida Keys "wow this is cool we are really in The Keys" feel, check out Snappers near Mile Marker 94 (ocean side) just south of Key Largo in Tavernier. It's in a secluded cove looking out to the ocean, outdoor dining, tiki bar, etc.
I've also heard good things about Lazy Days.
