Birthday Dinner Event (15 people) -- need a venue

Hey there,

Looking for a good venue for a birthday dinner for my husband and friend. There will possibly be 15 people so we need to be able to book a reservation. Boston or Cambridge are fine. Looking for a medium priced place -- (not outrageous prices as we have people who can afford different levels)

Any ideas? Chef's table is an option, but we need it for the 13th

East Coast Grill will take a reservation for a group that size other than on a Fri or Sat night.

In Cambridge Portugalia has a private room which they might make available for that size of a group, but could also accomodate you in the dining room. Midwest Grill could easily handle it in one of their dining rooms. Muqueca might be willing to do it with their new larger dining room, but I would call soon.

This past summer I took my wife and her family to Stephie's on Tremont. They had an amazing back room that was sectioned off with curtains and made for a wonderful evening. The prices are averages, there is no room charge just a minimum requirement for the bill.

The best private dining experience for a small group like you are talking about was at Lockober in Boston. They have a room on the first floor to the left of the dining area that is secluded, has a seperate lounge area and dining tables. Again there was no extra charge for the room just a minimum bill requirement.
