Patisserie Angelica in Sebastopol

I've seen some astounding looking cakes and confections on the website, and I'm wondering, does anybody out there have firsthand experience with their products? Good stuff, or middlin'? Too expensive, or worth it? (I don't mind paying for first-rate ingredients.)

I'm a fan, haven't been in yet since it reopened a few months ago, but a speciall order gateau at a Bastille Day party was as wonderful as ever. Many reports on this board,

I ordered my wedding cake from them 2 years back and it was so fantastic I keep thinking I need to order another one, a cake, not a wedding cake. They use a lot of organic ingrediants, and a lot of butter, I don't think they use any preservatives. I had a chocolate beet cake with a raspberry filling and a coconut cake with a pasionfruit filling. It would be hard to pick my favorite. Yes, it is expensive, but for me, it was worth it.

        So very worth it.
I've just gotten sheet cakes from them, not the more elaborate ones, and that was more affordable. The cake itself is excellent. I used to get pastries from them when they were still in Santa Rosa, I don't know what their retail situation is now but I've never had anything from there that wasn't fantastic.
