Steakhouse Recommendations for Philly Burbs?
Anyone have any good steakhouse ideas? We've done Flemings, Sullivans, Mortons, Ruth's Chris etc..just looking for something different so we do not have to drive to the city! We are open to anything.
Thanks :)

1821 Steaks & Cocktails. Way out in Upper Black Eddy. World class steaks at middle class prices. Very limited menu. Stumbled upon it during a B&B weekend a couple weeks ago. Will go back for sure.

I've always been a Sullivan's fan - think it is the best of the four you mentioned above.

There is no question that the best steak houses are the ones that have been mentioned, along with the Prime Rib, in center city.
However, if you are within striking distance I strongly urge you to try Richies Bar and Grill at 323 W. County Line Road in Hatboro (215 675 9935.
Don’t judge a book by its’cover; this is a simple bar with a small dining room in the back. The prime rib, king or queen cut are huge and really good, the dinner including salad, sides and dessert is around $25.00. Very strong!!
The cocktails are not huge but they are not expensive either.

I had a great dry-aged strip at Chops on City Line recently. I was not impressed on my first visit when they originally opened, but if was very reasonable, and the price was a relative bargain (at lunch ..)

Ok, well according to those who know steaks the best and relatively pricey steak houses with great "houses" are in Center City. The list is long as are the opinions as to which is best.
But youi don't want to drive, or train, to the city. So would you consider a fall drive into the hinterland? The Black Angus Steakhouse in Stoudt's Brewery south on the turnpike in Adamstown at the Denver exit was considered very good and it is a busy interesting place. Also just into the city of Lancaster is the Stock Yard Inn. Great beef is a tradition! Dine in the very nice upscale bar or in any one of two interesting dinning rooms. Reasonable prices, great beef good service nice people with a nice fall drive. Did I recently see a Capitol Grill behind the King of Prussia Mall? They have had a good reputation at the Center City location, expensive.
