is there anything to eat near perry, ga?
I am heading to Perry, GA this month for a few days and I am wondering if there is anything to eat in the area. I know Perry isn't near much but I have to hope that there is a decent meal in the area.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Yeah, New Perry Hotel (which is pretty old) once was reputed to be the only white tablecloth restaurant between Atlanta and the Florida line on I-75. I actually stayed there for a week on business (even though I lived in Macon at the time; long story). Rooms are nothing special but the restaurant is truly a throwback. I see on their web site, they re-opened a little bar area. I know they didn't have that 20+ years ago.

re: Big Daddy
Wow. I haven't thought about the New Perry Hotel since I was a kid. My family used to stop for lunch on the way up to Athens or Atlanta. I remember the big oyster crackers that you could slather with butter. And a plate of pickles and radishes that I detested then and that I'd kill for now. Glad to know it's still around.
