Did anyone get to try this vegan version of scrapple before it was discontinued? It got a lot of good buzz when it came out--was it any good?

I really liked it. The seitan replaced the pork well and when you get right down to it scrapple is just highly seasoned cornmeal. I didn't know it was discontinued. Rats.

I didn't know it was discontinued. I thought it was pretty good though, like many "fake meats," it is better if you think of it as its own thing and not as a subsitute for scrapple. Since we went gluten free in my house I stopped getting it.

Delicious! And I have a huge block of it in my freezer still. The problem is, it's like a pound plus of the stuff and I dont want to defrost it all and eat it all at once, and I can't seem to inspire my family to eat it.

So sad Sarah moved and it's all gone!

Is that what happened? It seemed like one day she just disappeared from the FF Farmstand and then Vrapple was no more...

Yea I asked for it there and they told me she moved to Cali. Apparently the brand and recipe is for sale if someone wants to give it a go.

Too bad. It was pretty good, and I liked Sarah. Knew I hadn't seen her in a while. I guess Californians would not go for scrapple ( a substitute OR the real thing.)
