  1. Narrow it down a bit more. There's loads of Italian food in New Haven. Greek, not so much.

Seriously though, you're a chowhound and you are asking if New Haven folks have opinions about pizza? Ha.

The hell with Pepe's. If you can get to Wooster Square around four in the afternoon, and don't mind standing on the sidewalk with your friends, and waiting for an hour, go to Sally's. If you want good New Haven pizza, but do not want to wait, go to bar on Crown Street.

Search the boards and you'll find lots of suggestions for lots of good food in New Haven.

    1. I highly recommend L'Orcio on State St. Excellent Italian and relatively reasonable.

PS: Everyone has an opinion on Pepe's, Sally's, Modern, etc.

Is the venerable Casey's still cranking out decent comestibles?

Folks, the value of Chowhound is as a resource to tip like minded people of where they can find great food and drink, available today. Nostalgia digressions dilute the resource and are removed.

Please help mrbeachy identify where he might find some great chow in the area today.
