What days of the week will you be in Savannah and what type restaurants are you interested in. Are you looking for fine dining, BBQ, seafood, country, Ethnic or what. Where will you be staying and do you have a car. All of this helps folks offer kind advice. Some restaurants are closed on certain days. Thanks for your kind reply.

We'll be staying in the historic district from 11/11 to 11/15 but will probably not have a car. However, if there's a place we shouldn't miss but it's out of town we could always rent one.

We would be interested in fine dining, seafood, country and ethnic restaurants. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Crystal Beer Parlor is a fun joint for lunch or dinner. Mrs. Wilke's is very popular for good country food for lunch Monday to Friday only but you will have to get in line. The President dined there. It's too crowded for me. Go to Sweet Potatoes for good country food. Elizabeth's is fine dining at it's best located in an old house with great food and atmosphere. You would need a cab. The Pink House is in the historic district and offers great food for lunch or dinner. B Matthews has a great breakfast. Belford's is very good also. Go to Savannah City Market for fun shopping and dining. Dine at City Cafe. Local 1110 and Noble Fare are both great fine dining restaurants for dinner only. Moon River is a fun place for cold drinks and good food. BD Burgers are the best in town. You will need a cab to get to Elizabeth's and Mrs. Wilke's. You can walk to the rest.

Hey there. Love this post. I am planning a January trip and this is pretty close to what I was actually thinking of doing. I really wanted Elizabeth's for dinner one night, and wasn't super excited by Belford's. But, otherwise, this is pretty close to my plans!

Eliszabeth's is one of the finest restaurants in the US. Scratch Belford's and go to Eliazabeths. Get all dressed up and have fun. Bon Appetit.

Ditto everything about Elizabeth's. Also Pink House. I'd recommend Circa 1875 for bistro dining and a good bar scene. Not so sure about Belford's or Chart House. I would include Garibaldi's and get the scored flounder which is kind of a local specialty. Rancho Allegre would be a good bet for Cuban (on MLK Blvd.) For soul food and to avoid the lines at Mrs. Wilkes go to Neighborhood Soul on 41st and MLK. For BBQ, try Emerald City. It is an outdoor smoker and a tent that sets up on Bull near Victory Drive. It is in the parking lot of Emerald City Car Wash. My significant other likes Vic's for appetizers and a good view of the river. Same could be said for rooftop of the Bohemian. If you're a night owl, don't miss Pinkie Masters, absolutely one of the best dive bars in the universe.
