Wine store and pizza near Foggy Bottom metro

Hello DC Hounds,

Where's the best place to buy wine near the Foggy Bottom metro? What about pizza for pick-up or delivery? (wood-fired if possible)

Just reporting back on this. Trader Joe's was a great source for wine and also, Dean and Deluca. Loved Pizza Paradiso (ate at the restaurant). Hotel recommended Cafe Romeo's for Italian delivery (btw Bertucci's has a $35 minimum for delivery). Cafe Romeo's pizza was good but nothing special, it arrived late and wasn't hot which did impact our view of it. We also ordered their Gyro on the advice of someone in the hotel lobby! The gyro was excellent and great value at $6.50

Dean & Deluca take-out was fabulous and our favourite option for in-room dining overall.

Trader Joe's is 2 blocks away (25th and Pennsylvania) and has the best wine selection.

Not a ton of pizza options... Pizza Paradiso on P street is about 7 blocks away.

Great news about Trader Joes! Thank-you. I'll likely be working late so was hoping for some quick but good pizza delivery. Maybe I should re-post and ask for recs for any type of quality delivery and not limit it to pizza. Thanks so much for your suggestions.

There's Bertucci's in 2000 Penn but that's probably not what you're looking for.

Famous Luigi's delivers. Not my favorite pizza in town by a long shot, but... they deliver.
