Buffet Suggestions

ckonyc Oct 26, 2010 09:43 AM

I'm celebrating my 30th Birthday in vegas with 10 of my friends next weekend.
We want to do Sunday Lunch Buffet on the strip. Any suggestions?
I've been to the Bellagio buffet in the past and wasn't totally wow'd by it.
I heard Wynn is amazing, but I'm looking for something with a cheaper price tag, say $15-25pp.

Other $-$$ restaurant suggestions are welcome.
Few of us are big foodies but given that we live in NYC have been to most of the famous chef's restaurants, we're not looking for anything upscale or fancy.
We're hoping to get something that we can't get back here... like In-n-Out, Vegas Buffets, etc.

Thanks all!

Most, if not all, of the Sunday buffets in Las Vegas (both on and off the Strip) are brunch until dinner time. I've resided in Las Vegas for eleven years and have yet to find a Sunday lunch buffet.

      Brunch is also fine.

I'm looking into the buffet at Aria since it's $20pp and we're staying here. Please let me know what you think!

I just recently tried the Aria buffet and thought that it is one of the better Strip buffets, but it just missed the upper echelon populated by Bellagio, Wynn, and Planet Hollywood. I wouldn't mind going back on someone else's dime.

Thanks JK. Do you think Wynn's worth the extra $15pp from Aria's?
Btw, we're staying at Aria. We are heading going out the night before so maybe Aria may be a better option for us...

If you weren't "wow'd" by the Bellagio buffet I don't think the Wynn buffet will do much for you either.

Actually, the last time I was at the Bellagio buffet I wasn't "wow'd" by any stretch of the imagination. I'm thinking of trying the Wynn when we are in town next week.

ckonyc we will be staying at the Aria also. Would love to hear your thoughts on the experience, esp. if you hit the buffet.

Just wondering when you last had the Bellagio buffet. I admit to being pretty easy to please, but I really loved the Bellagio buffet. I was there for dinner just a couple weeks ago on a Tuesday night I believe. I have also had the "gourmet" weekend buffet and really enjoyed it. It is buffet food, but I found it quite good.
Stay away from RIO. That is more a quantity than quality place. Somewhere I would take the kids just cause it is cheap.

I've eaten there twice. First time was 4 years ago and my son and I really enjoyed it. Lots of food choices, quality was good. Went back two years ago with a business partner, same choices but I didn't think the quality was all that great. Business partner agreed. As stated in other posts, so many restaurants, so little time. . .oh and thanks for the tip on the Rio.

My wife and I hit up the wynn buffet every time we go to LV. It is pricier, but it has a few things that I require in a buffet. 1. Its clean. 2. Everything is fresh, nothing sits too long or at least seems like it has been sitting there too long. 3. Good quality and selection, but not overwhelming.

We did the bellagio buffet and did not like it in comparison to the Wynn. Let us know how the Aria is, if you try it.

It's down LVB a bit, but I like Studio B buffet at the M. I'd go here vs buffets at Aria and Bellagio. Haven't been to the buffet at Wynn.
