Clarification: Santa Barbara Birthday Dinner

I am trying to decide where to be treated for my birthday dinner Halloween weekend in Santa Barbara. I like Buchon, having been there on many occasions. I am interested in Stella Mare, and Julienne has recently been suggested. Money isn't an issue. I want great food and wine -- where you stop talking and close your eyes because it tastes so good -- pleasant and knowledgeable service, and a convivial atmosphere. Any reason I should choose one over another?
