Takeout Thanksgiving meals
A friend is laid up this year and won't be able to cook, so I've collected these recommendations for her from past threads on places that would do a take-out Thanksgiving dinner. Any updates, input on quality or other places to recommend? (At least one of these places I thought was closed but has an active website.) She's in Lynn but I'm recapping everything I found from he past few years in case it may help someone else. I linked to menus if I could find them, if there's no link, then I can't find anything about Thanksgiving menus on the site.

I've done the Beacon Hill Deluca's turkey a couple times, and it was excellent. But, aren't they closed right now, due to fire? Or do I need to walk by there again?

chris, DO remove that stoneham marty's catering. ugh.
For closeness to lynn, and from my experience with the tastiness of their sides, i do think she would do well with both whole foods and formaggio kitchen. But if she is buying a whole cooked turkey(i couldn't tell from your post if it's just her, or her family- needing th. dinner) i think she might have better luck getting a less cooked bird from formaggio because it's a smaller vendor. I would suggest that wherever she finally gets the dinner, she should talk with the provider and explain that she does not want the turkey overcooked. Were it me, i would give them the thigh temp i want(i prefer slightly pink.) because they will be cooking it with a thermometer anyway.›1 Reply -
A Boston Globe article says that Gerard Farm is closing, and this is the last month they will in business: http://www.boston.com/yourtown/framin... although the tone of the article seems to hope he'll change his mind if he has a good Thanksgiving season...
