Arnauds or Mr. B's for Thanksgiving dinner?

Hi all - help much appreciated - the title says it all - what's the verdict? Thanks, Lvk

  1. Did you look at their menu's. They both have their TG menu's up on their website. The veal medallions with lump crabmeat at Mr. B's looks outstanding.

Don't go to Arnaud's! You'll be very disappointed. If those are your two choices, then definitely go with Mr. B's.

Even if both were firing on all 8 cylinders I just think they are totally different. hard to compare, seems to me. But, has anyone local been to Arnaud's lately? I sure haven't. I am waiting to hear how the death of Archie has been handled and have zero info on it (I have not tried very hard--well, at all...I just figure I will hear something sometime.) I keep hoping to run into a friend who used to take clients there many years ago when, in his opinion,it was the best deal in town. But we have not crossed paths in awhile and I may have to sue him to get an opinion.

Arnaud's is so beautiful, it is always wonderful to go there and the bar is fantastic. But the food is better at Mr. B's

      2. I'm always disappointed with Mr. B's. Guess I compare it to the likes of Cochon, Herbsaint, Upperline, Brigtsens etc.. If I had to pick from your two choices I would go with Arnauds. Ideally I would take a short cab ride to the CBD and dine at Cochon.
