I'll second Nhu Lan, the banh mi are great, and are only $3.50.

Hoanh Long make an amazing fried squid dish. Their appetizers are really good. Their is a fried shrimp one which was quite tasty. I tried their beef dish that they got written up for and it was meh to me. But the other stuff I tried was great.

Tie between Nhu Lan in Lincoln Square and Hoanh Long in North Park: the former does banh mi sandwiches plus baked goods, while the latter makes pho and other cooked entrees.

      Don't bother with Argyle, honestly...
