Venetian sandwiches

I come to SF 4 times a year and am looking for a place that serves the "tea" sandwhiches like you can buy in the streets of Venice Italy. In general, I find Northern Italian regional food to be outnumbered by Southern Italian. Any suggestions for the sandwiches?

  1. Are you talking about tramezzini? By "in the streets" do you mean in cafes?

There are no streets in Venice! lol

I agree, sounds to me like the OP means tramezzini, RL. Personally, I don't know of anyplace in SF that serves these...but would love to find out as well.

Uva Enoteca, Scala's Bistro, and Crown & Crumpet have tramezzini on their menus, as does Ca’ Momi Enoteca & Pizzeria in Oxbow Market in Napa.

Tramezzini were originally invented in the Inghilterra region. They're a standard item in cafes all over Italy.
