Burgers Near Red Bank

Someone recently told me about a place near Red Bank to get a great burger, but in a senior moment I've forgotten it. The wife doesn't like Barnicle Bills (says its too dirty) and Five Guys is OK but only once in a while. Looking for a nice place to enjoy a glass of beer or wine and a really good burger. I miss Bella's.

Danny's Steakhouse has very good burger. It is better than The Downtown in my opinion, but I still prefer Barnacles Bill's

Barnacle's and The Downtown for me.

While I agree that both the Globe and the Pour House make fine burgers, if the Mrs. thinks Barnacle Bill's is dirty, the Globe will repulse her. PH may be a bit funky as well.

In the Northern half of Monmouth County, the place to have a "great" burger while in a pretty setting is Trinity in Keyport.

On our last visit to the Pour House we were surprised to see that they've redone the dining room. Gone is the "barn" siding, unfortunately along with it some of the atmosphere that went with it. The new decor is much more refined, not as "funky" as it used to be.

i've lived near there for 13 years, haven't had the courage to walk in yet. i have a general rule against walking in to places with no windows...

Yeah, it's kinda dim (then again, I didn't even know there was a dining room). PH, like Kelly's, go in the "cold, rainy afternoon places" category.

It's fine. Really. Families eat there.

i admit it was a rule i developed based on some of the taverns my brother would go to in Sussex in the 70s to play fussball...

The Pour House is great.. Just had lunch there today, medium rare one with mushrooms onions on t he side. Never thought about the fact of no windows or even cared..Just a fun place and nice wait staff.

I've had good food at the Pour House, but I'm not a local and have only eaten there twice.

Right in Red Bank, The Downtown does amazing sliders & a house burger.

I like the burgers at The Globe in Red Bank, and it is also an old fashioned bar. Haven't been in a long time though - here's an old thread for reference:

A 2nd vote for Basil T's. They are served on an Enflish muffin along with great fries and good microbrewed beer. If you join the mug club there you get discounted brews and food specials twice a week including the burgers every Sunday.
