  1. Hi derkoch,

I'm totally with you! I like this place a lot and yup, they are SUPER nice.

    Check out their website:

I swear it used to have fun old-timey Germanic music but, alas, now it does not...

    Ciao,

    Glendale is hungry...

      2. Been going to Morschers for years. It is one of the last authentic German-Czech butchers left and always the best. Their paprika head cheese is fantastic. If you think you don't like head cheeese try this. You'll think again. Also try the pimento loaf. It's fresh sweet aromatic flavor is a dimension above other lunch meats. Another stand out you just don't find anymore is their whole heads of house cured sauerkraut. For an easy real German treat boil up some in apple juice laced with juniper berries with a few of their crunchy, fat knowckwursts or sweet smokey franks. Morschers isn't just good it's an NYC treasure.
